dental services at reduced cost
Accepting Canadian Dental Care Patients
At Alora Dental we’re proud to welcome patients eligible under the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

What is the
Canadian Dental Care Plan?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) is a government-funded dental program that helps eligible Canadians receive essential dental services at reduced cost.
Designed for people without private dental insurance, the plan aims to remove financial barriers and make dental care more accessible across the country. Services like cleanings, fillings, extractions, X-rays, dentures, and preventive care are included in the plan.

Benefits are directly linked to your household income. Even though the program reimburses a portion of your treatment costs, it might not cover the full amount.
Potential Out-of-Pocket Costs Explained
Paying additional fees directly to your oral health care provider will happen if:

The cost of your specific dental services exceeds the CDCP’s reimbursement amount.

You choose services not fully covered by the CDCP, as agreed upon with your dental healthcare provider.

Depending on your adjusted family net income, you may have a co-payment. This is the portion of the CDCP fees not covered by the plan.
We strongly recommend verifying which services the CDCP covers before starting any treatment. Our dedicated team of Patient Coordinators at Alora Dental is willing to help you understand your CDCP benefits effectively.

Which services are not covered by the CDCP?
Some services are not covered by the plan such as:
- Whitening
- Cosmetic treatments
- Dental implants
- Crown for dental implants
Other services may require preauthorization from the CDCP.
We will submit these requests for approval, and the CDCP will evaluate coverage based on your eligibility criteria. If a service isn’t covered, you can still proceed with the treatment and pay out-of-pocket directly to our office, you can ask for our payment plan options.
