Onlays
Onlays are a type of indirect restoration that can be recommended when posterior teeth are weakened due to large cavities/fillings/cracks or at risk of fracture. They cover the chewing surface of teeth to protect the cusps. Onlays can be made of ceramic/porcelain allowing the restoration to be tooth-coloured thus, highly aesthetic. They are bonded to the tooth and are very resistant.
